2 year old pictures

Well, we went and got Carson's 2 year pictures done a couple of weeks early since Aunt Marci was here to help. It did take us awhile as Carson was fascinated with everything in the studio.
Here are some of my favorites that we got. Isn't he cute?!?!?!

Put him to work!

Had a dr appt this week. Can't believe I am 21 weeks. Everything looks really good. This baby sure is different that Carson. Carson would always run from the doppler when they would try and find his heart beat that I had to have an ultrasound at almost every visit cause that was the only way they could measure it good. Well..."she" is very very different. She lays very still and they are able to find her within about 2 minutes and get her heartbeat. Fortunately, my blood pressure has stabilized and after looking at my bp's every other day for the last 5 weeks, dr was surprised I was able to keep it down consistently without being on blood pressure meds. I am totally amazed at how minimizing the sodium in my diet and keeping my feet up on a box during the day at work has helped. She told me to keep doing what I was doing.

This weekend, I sure did put Cory (and myself) to work. Our guest bedroom...soon to be the baby's room...was completely packed with stuff. The closet was packet as well as under the bed. So I had planned all week that I needed to get that room emptied out before Marci got here on Wed. In the meantime, my good friend called me in the middle of the week to tell me that she had gone through all her girl clothes and had quite a bunch of things that I may be able to use. Let's just say when we picked put the stuff on Friday night (6 - 40QT containers), we were floored at the amount of stuff she had packed away for us. Therefore, I was motivated to get all of Carson's old stuff out and go through it the same friends just had a little boy 2 months ago so we could swap clothes with her. I ended up spending hours on Saturday morning, sorting and sorting. Glad to say I was able to return her containers to her at church this morning full of boy clothes for Connelly. I still had 3 huge garbage containers full of garage sale stuff, had put some stuff away for Peyton, and another one of my friends who just had a little boy...but THANK GOSH it is all done now. Cory helped me find places for all the JUNK as he calls it and we now have the room all ready for Marci.

Today, I knew that after church I needed to come home and clean the house. UHHH no - it is 5:15 and I haven't even started. Cory left to go see a movie and Carson and I took a nap from 2-4. I know I really need to do it just can't get motivated! As Cory says....someone needs to light a fire under your butt so you can get it done...am sure when he gets home that will be fire enough as I told him when he left that is what I was doing and haven't not even begun :) Well just heard the garage door - was right...that was the fire under my hinney - gotta run :)

Father's Day Weekend

Cory and I have had a busy weekend. We have been on a hunt for a swing set for Carson for his 2nd birthday. After A LOT of shopping around, we picked one up on Friday night. According to the instructions, it was to take 8 hours for assembly with 1 adult and an adult helper. So Saturday morning, Cory started in. I joined while Carson was down for a nap. Then when Carson woke up I tried to continue helping but then Cory had an adult helper and a miniature helper who kept taken the pieces he would need :) It then decided to have a little spring shower on us but we continued working since it wasn't lightening out. Carson had a blast running in the rain in his diaper. At about 12:45 last night, Cory and I decided that we pushed it a little too hard as we were both EXHAUSTED. Cory then hit is strong today and finished it up..nothing like the perfect Father's Day gift...doing something for his children. (He is such a wonderful daddy!!!) Carson absolutely loves it and we enjoyed watching him play this evening. It's an early present for him but I don't think he minds. Here are some pictures and videos of him on his new swing set.

IT'S A ?!?!?!

Cory and I went to the dr this morning for our ultrasound and everything looked good. We are excited to share that we are having a little GIRL!!!!! Eventhough we didn't care either way, we are very happy to be blessed with a boy and girl.
We told Carson when we came home from work and not sure that he cares nor understands what we are telling him. He was more concerned with the microwave beeping as his chicken nuggets were almost done.
Well, we are on our way to meet Mrs. Michelle this evening. She is a potental full time babysitter for Carson and the new baby. I will let you know how it goes. I think we may stop Target or Kohl's on the way home as it is killing me to buy something PINK!!!

Cory baptized

We had a very nice morning this morning. Cory and I became members of the Rehobeth United Methodist Church and Cory was baptized. Our good friends, Trey, Nicole, Madison, and Connelly stood up with us as well as Cory's mother. Apparently, during the baptism (which was in front of the whole church) Connelly (6 weeks old) decided he needed to pass gas at which point Cathy, Nicole, and Trey about lost it from laughter. Guess baby Connelly wanted himself known :) It was a very nice service and feels very good to know that Cory and I have found a church that "fits" us both equally to raise our family in.
