It has been an adjustment having Braxtynn in the house...especially for Carson. He has done very well but we have learned that everything that has to do with the baby has to be on his terms. He is slowly warming up to her and never seems to amaze us with his little comments or actions towards her when we least expect it.
We have been working with Carson and explaining to him that since Braxtynn is here, we have to take turns and share mommy and daddy's time. Tonight, Cory got called out just as bath time was upon us but I was sure I would be able to take care of things and promised not to lift Carson. I finished giving Carson a bath and told him it was Braxtynn's turn for a bath but I would put a movie on for him. He graciously was fine with it and kept reminding me "we take turns" while I was bathing Braxtynn. Just as I wrapped up Braxtynn in her towel, Carson looked up at me and said " Can I hold her?" WHAT - he hasn't even wanted to really go near her, wouldn't kiss or hug her, and now he just asked me if he could hold her. I told him to get up in the chair and he could. He put his arms out and held her wonderfully...I only wished Cory was home to see it as we wondered if he would ever warm up to her but we weren't going to push him. Fortunately, the camera was within reaching distance so I was able to capture the video below. Let's just say, Carson is a fantastic big brother and Braxtynn is so lucky to have him!

How adorable is that!! You are right when you say that Carson has to do things in his own terms and when he's ready. He is doing GREAT with adjusting and is growing into becoming a wonderful big brother. You and Cory are doing a GREAT job, too!
